How to Prepare for a Junk Removal Appointment

How to Prepare for a Junk Removal Appointment

Getting ready before we arrive takes about 15 minutes and makes the whole job faster, cheaper, and smoother. Here's exactly what to do.

1. Identify Everything That's Going

Walk through the space before we arrive and mentally (or physically) mark what's leaving. If there's any question about whether something is staying, decide now — not when we're loading the truck.

This prevents last-minute changes that slow the job down and affect your quote.

2. Create a Clear Path

Make sure we can get to everything without squeezing past obstacles:

  • Move vehicles out of the driveway or garage
  • Unlock side gates or back doors if we're accessing a backyard
  • Clear a path through hallways or stairs if items are inside

We're used to tight spaces, but clear access = faster loading = less time on the job.

3. Separate What's Staying

If you have items mixed in with the junk — things you're keeping, donating separately, or selling — set them apart before we arrive. A quick label system (sticky note, tape) works well.

We won't haul anything you haven't confirmed is going.

4. Have a Photo Ready If You Can

A quick photo of the junk pile sent before the appointment helps us confirm the quote and show up with the right crew size. Not required, but it speeds things up.

5. Be There or Designate Someone

Someone needs to point us to what's going and confirm the quote before we start. If you can't be there, arrange for someone (family member, property manager) to be present.

On the Day

We'll confirm the quote before any work begins. Once you approve it, we load everything and haul it out. Payment is due on completion — we accept cash, e-transfer, and credit card.
